Dr. L Rathaiah, Chancellor, Vignan University and Mr. Philip, International Marketing Manager, University of Fraser Valley (UFV), Canada, signed an MoU on 24th March at Hyderabad to bring both the universities on to a common platform so that the students get the best of both the worlds. UFV offers traditional university degrees and a wide variety of applied certificate and diploma programmes. The University is involved in many research projects that directly serve the community as well as disciplinebased research. Many UFV programmes offer a Cooperative Education (Co-op) option, combining study with supervised, professional, paid, off-campus work experience. Students from over 70 countries attended UFV making it a diverse institution. UFV’s domestic population includes students from many ethnic, religious and national backgrounds. While addressing press meet on the occasion, Mr. Philip said that cooperation between the two institutions would focus on areas of common interests like students and faculty exchange, adaptation of curriculum and joint R&D.
